Video Ad Creative
(William & Mary Class Project)

In my Marketing Strategy class at William & Mary, I completed a semester-long team project to develop a hypothetical marketing plan for the protein powder brand Optimum Nutrition. We determined how this firm could expand its target market to include adults over 50. As part of this project, I created a conceptual video ad suited for TV and for social media platforms such as YouTube.​

 

In a brainstorming session, my team and I decided that this ad would be about a grandfather spending time with his grandchild throughout the latter's life. From this, I created a story about a grandfather bonding with his grandson over football, with the help of Optimum Nutrition. I then used ChatGPT's image generation software to develop the video.

Towards the end of the ad, I have the grandfather discover that his grandson has framed pictures of the two of them to put on his desk in his college dorm room. I created an emotional moment that sticks in viewers' memories and conveys the campaign's message: that Optimum Nutrition, "can support you, as you support them."
